Dr. Donaldson does not file for insurance reimbursement. This allows him to offer professional counseling at a dramatically reduced rate. Given today’s high deductibles and co-pays, most clients find this service more affordable than comparable services that accept insurances (and fold the high cost of filing into their fee structure.)
Upon request, Dr. Donaldson can provide the diagnostic and coding information clients need to file their own insurance claims. For more information, call the 800 number on the back of your health insurance card and ask about self-filing options for out-of-network providers.
This service’s ministry orientation, debt-free operation, and low overhead allow Dr. Donaldson to charge much less than comparable counseling services in the area. Depending on income — the fee for a 60 minute session ranges between $60 and $90.
Length of Treatment
Dr. Donaldson takes a positive and hopeful approach to working with clients – which is both problem-informed and solution-focused. The clear intention in our time together is to maximize effectiveness and minimize the number of hours spent in therapy. Even so, counseling can be time-intensive and expensive. While the number of sessions may vary depending on the nature of the concerns presented – many clients use between 5 and 20 sessions and report significant progress in that time.
Payment is due at the time of service. Cash, personal checks, and Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards – are all acceptable.
